The pedestal is the cheapest furnishing in the game costing only 4 
coins, and can be used to place one small item for sale. It is already unlocked, along with the Table, when you first begin the game.
Upon starting the game for the first time, the pedestal is what most new players will use to sell their merchandise. This is because the table costs more money to place, and costs more for the items compatible with it. Only after the second or third day, will the player have enough saved up to use it effectively.
As the player makes progress and starts unlocking other furnishings and items to sell, the pedestal will become less useful.
