The grill does not have much use in the shoppe, and is freely available to you at the very start of the game.
It can be found in the backroom of the shoppe next to the Daily Finance Scroll. Currently, the grill's only purpose is to cook the Raw Meats that your Champion may loot during his adventures.
If you place raw meat on the grill and leave it there for 12-15 seconds, it will become Grilled Meat and can be used on the Offering Table found outside the shoppe. The cooked meat will distract Barbarians, thus preventing them from attacking the shoppe.
